RBMacale Web Designer The Macales When he was 19 years old, Romeo (or Romy as his friends call him) got saved from Roman Catholicism on July 1, 1979 – he was first year in university of his first degree. Few days after he got saved, the Lord Jesus Christ started dealing with his heart to preach the Word to the lost people and to enroll in a Bible seminary. He just ignored and refused God’s call to preach for quite a number of years and spent all his time and energy in university studies until he finished three university degrees and an unfinished Doctor of Philosophy degree thinking that he could get rid out of God’s call to preach. However, during those years of rebellion he had no joy in his heart despite of having a good education, Godly family, and a lucrative teaching job. In January of 2000, with much prayers and heartbreaking experience, he decided to listen to God’s call, and did surrender to preach His Word. Short of a fundamental, independent, Baptist, Bible-believing seminary in Perth, he prayed to God to train him for the Gospel ministry; he decided to train himself by studying through distance education in Doctor of Theology. He did voluntarily together with his family door-to-door soulwinning when they were members of Nollamara Baptist Church in Western Australia. In January 2004, he and his family moved their membership to Bible Baptist Church in Mount Helena under the leadership of Pastor Eric Thrush. Early in that year he spoke to his pastor regarding God’s call for him to preach. In reply, Pastor Thrush started to train him to become a preacher for about three years along with three other men of the church. On the 8th of April 2007, the Bible Baptist Church of Mount Helena ordained him for the Gospel ministry and he started immediately a missionary work in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia. The Bible Baptist Church of Mount Helena decided to send him officially on the 16th of November 2008 to be its own missionary to Kalgoorlie in Western Australia, and to other places where God leads him. For about six years, and after serving in the ministry for almost three years in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, God has been speaking to Romy to start a new mission work in Perth City now called, “Metropolitan Bible Baptist Church,” located in Leederville WA. For the purpose of this new mission work and in other places where God leads him, the Bible Baptist Church, Talisay City, Cebu, Philippines has sent him as a missionary to preach the Gospel and plant local New Testament Baptist churches on March 7, 2010.
